To rule a diagnosis, in or out

Do you wonder if you might suffer from a neuro-developmental condition, such as ADHD or a learning disability? You may have noticed how difficult it is to get things done or how distracted you get in your busy life. Or you may struggle with fluency in reading or have tore-read paragraphs multiple times to comprehend the content and remember the information?

To receive accommodations in school, on testing, or in the workforce

IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) mandates various agencies and environments to accommodate individuals with different disabilities or conditions. This includes IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and 504 Plan. Accommodations can include, but are not limited to time extensions, testing in a room free from distractions, individual tutoring, scribe for note-taking, reader for testing, speech-to-type software, mental health counseling etc. In order to qualify for such accommodations and/or program modifications, one must provide evidence of disability (such as a formal diagnosis) and its implications on performance. Neuropsychological evaluation provides just such evidence necessary to qualify, if indicated.
